Fluid analysis should be performed regularly, with the frequency depending on the level of use and the operational hours accumulated by the system. The more frequently and intensely the system is used, the more often fluid analysis should be conducted. Regular monitoring will help ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues early.
It is generally recommended to conduct fluid analysis after the fluids have experienced some operational wear, which allows the analysis to capture any debris, wear patterns, or potential leaks within the system. For a new vehicle, fluid analysis should ideally be performed after the first 3,000 to 10,000 miles, or after 500 hours of generator operation, or once a year—whichever comes first.
Fluid analysis is most effective when the fluids have circulated through the system for a period of time, allowing them to capture useful data on the system's health. Performing analysis immediately after fluid changes may not provide an accurate reflection of the system’s condition.
Oil and coolant analysis are essential for diagnosing potential issues and assessing when maintenance is required. These analyses can also determine the remaining useful life of your fluids, allowing you to plan maintenance schedules more effectively. This proactive approach helps reduce the risk of system failures and allows for more efficient downtime management.
Fluid analysis can save both time and money by helping you determine the optimal time for fluid replacement, ensuring you get the most out of your fluids before they need to be changed. This not only reduces unnecessary costs but also minimizes waste and provides valuable insights into the condition of your vehicle's systems.

RV holding tanks will develop a build-up of human waste, hair, grease, food residue and other debris + a build-up of a hard mineral deposit called struvite.
Struvite is a phosphate mineral that's made up of magnesium, ammonia, and phosphate:
Chemical formula:MgNH4PO4·6H2O
Hardness: 1.5–2 on the Mohs scale
Specific gravity: 1.7
Crystal shape: Pyramidal or mica-like
Color: White, yellowish, or brownish white
Transparency: Transparent, but can turn white as it loses water
Struvite accumulates as scales in your pipes in sewage systems. Struvite will cause problems if not broken up and removed from your pipes and tanks like creating clogs, misreading tank sensors plus adding weight to your tanks.
The requirement to have your tanks flushed is that you be at an RV park, resort, or campground where you have full hookups (shore power, water, and sewer), and that RV Clarity is authorized to complete the work at.
No chemicals are used for flushing the tanks, only high-pressure water.
It is recommended annually, or before long term storage to prevent hardening of human waste and struvite.
