Our Comprehensive Inspection is a full-scale forensic evaluation of an RV’s condition. This is not a quick walk-through. We spend a full day on-site, followed by several additional hours compiling a detailed, photo-documented report so you have total clarity before you buy.

Pricing Factors: What Influences the Final Quote?
Because no two RVs are the same, final pricing is tailored to the specific unit being inspected. We use three primary factors to determine the complexity and scope of the inspection.
Size and length play a significant role. Larger units, such as a 45-foot Class A motorhome, require more time to evaluate roof surfaces, chassis components, and exterior sidewalls than smaller trailers.
Complexity also affects pricing. Additional slide-outs, solar systems, lithium battery setups, multi-zone HVAC, advanced electronics, and outdoor kitchens all increase the number of inspection points and functional tests required.
Age of the RV is another key consideration. Older units often require more in-depth investigative time to identify seal degradation, hidden water intrusion, wiring fatigue, appliance wear, and deferred maintenance issues.
What’s Included in Your Comprehensive Inspection?
We test everything. If it is part of the RV, it is inspected.
Life safety testing includes hot skin testing, LP gas leak testing, verification of carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, and overall fire safety evaluation.
Structural evaluation includes a full roof walk-over when accessible, sealant condition assessment, sidewall inspection for delamination, and frame or chassis inspection.
Mechanical inspection for drivable RVs includes visual and functional evaluation of the engine compartment, transmission components, and dashboard systems.
System testing includes full plumbing pressure testing, electrical system evaluation for both AC and DC circuits, and complete HVAC operational cycles.
Appliance testing includes performance verification of the refrigerator, stove, oven, water heater, and other installed appliances.
The final deliverable is a comprehensive digital report typically ranging from 50 to more than 100 pages, including high-resolution photos, videos, clear explanations, and issue severity classifications.
Optional Add-On Services
For buyers who want deeper insight into the internal health of critical systems, RV Clarity offers laboratory-grade fluid analysis. These reports can reveal early signs of internal wear or contamination that are not visible during a visual inspection.
Travel fees may apply for inspections conducted outside our primary service area and are calculated based on mileage.
Ready for Clarity?
Every RV has a story, and some are better at hiding the bad chapters than others. Do not leave your investment to chance. RV Clarity provides custom inspection quotes based on the exact RV you are considering so you know exactly what to expect before moving forward.
Why a Comprehensive Inspection Is Your Best Investment
Buying an RV is often one of the largest purchases you will ever make. Unlike a traditional home, an RV is a rolling earthquake, combining complex plumbing, high-voltage electrical systems, propane appliances, and delicate components that are constantly subjected to vibration and movement.
A comprehensive inspection gives you leverage, protection, and peace of mind. Our reports are forensic in detail. When thousands of dollars in necessary repairs are identified, which is common, those findings can be used to renegotiate price or require repairs before closing. Many clients recover the cost of the inspection through negotiations alone.
Unlike dealership pre-delivery inspections, RV Clarity works exclusively for the buyer. We have no relationship with the seller and no incentive to minimize issues. Our only goal is to give you the unfiltered truth about the RV’s condition.
Major RV repairs can quickly turn a purchase into a financial burden. Roof leaks, refrigerator failures, slide-out malfunctions, and electrical issues can cost thousands to tens of thousands of dollars. A comprehensive inspection identifies these risks before they become your responsibility.
Finally, safety matters. Knowing your propane system is leak-free, your electrical system is safe, your brakes function properly, and your emergency exits operate as designed allows you to travel with confidence instead of anxiety.
The RV Clarity Guarantee
We do not just look at an RV. We interrogate it. We spend eight to twelve hours testing switches, seals, systems, and components so your first night in your RV is spent making memories, not calling a mobile repair technician.
A comprehensive inspection is not an added expense. It is protection for your investment, your safety, and your peace of mind.
